Detailed Itinerary

On arrival Delhi, you will receive a warm welcome at the International Airport by our representative.

After meet & greet transfer to hotel in Delhi. On arrival check in at hotel (check in time 1400 hrs).  The rest of the day is for leisure activities.

Taj Mahal, which is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and most beautiful and fascinating masterpiece of Mughal era is one of the best tourist places in Agra. The tour of world famous Taj Mahal   - Perhaps no other symbol epitomizes India as Taj Mahal. Situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is an epitome of love, a poem in marble by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.  The Taj Mahal is entirely made of white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) work. It is said that different types of precious and semi-precious stones were used in the intricate inlay work done on the interiors. This magnificent monument is set around a Charbagh or 'four garden' plan, which is split by watercourses-a reflection of the Persian style. (TAJ MAHAL IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS).  Return to hotel for breakfast.

 

Visit Agra Fort - Built by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the river Yamuna and beautified with palaces and gardens by Jehangir, Agra Fort today dominates the center of the city.  Dian-i-Ama (hall of publicó audiencia) and Dian-i-Chas (hall of prívate audiencia) were vuelta by Shahjehan for receiving audiences.  Other places to see within the fort include the Khas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal (the mirror palace).

Arrive Varanasi and you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. As a religious capital of Hinduism, Varanasi is the oldest living city in India as well as one of the world’s most ancient cities.    

Later this evening visit the ghats of the River Ganges to witness the Pooja ceremony of Ganga Aarti (a prayer ceremony).

Rise early this morning to commence your cruise on the River Ganges to view the ghats at sunrise when they are abuzz with activity. The devotees perform their ablutions in the river or offer prayers to the rising sun.  As you cruise along the river you will have an ideal vantage point to view these activities.

Please note: It is inappropriate to take photos of any burning Ghats, as this is a funeral ceremony.

Return to your hotel to freshen up before commencing a brief sightseeing tour of Varanasi. We start by visiting some of the important temples like Bharat Mata Mandir, a unique temple inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, which interestingly houses one of the most perfect relief maps of India and is dedicated to Mother India. Another is the Durga Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, consort of Lord Shiva.

 

Afterwards we drive through the largest residential university of Asia, Banaras Hindu University, founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya where we visit the new Vishwanath Temple in the university campus. 

This afternoon you will visit the Buddhist sites at Sarnath. It is the fabled place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples expounding the principles of Buddhism. The ruins here date back to as far as the 3rd Century BC.

After having breakfast you will start a drive to Ayodhya. After reaching there you can check in to the hotel.

Start your day by visiting Ram Janmabhoomi the birthplace of Lord Rama which is very sacred among the Hindu religion. Then visit Hanuman Garhi, a famous temple of Lord Hanuman but you have to reach there through stairs. Walk around the local market and feel the spiritual and cultural atmosphere of Ayodhya. Spend the evening in peace and reflection on this sacred city. Have some traditional sweets and local food and rest for the night in the hotel of Ayodhya.

Enjoy your early morning at the Saryu River Ghats. Soak yourself in the serenity of the city and offer your final prayer at the temples. If you missed or want to visit any other landmark you can take the opportunity to explore it before checking out of your hotel by noon. Later you will be transfer to Ayodhya Dham railway station to board train for Delhi

After Check-out from hotel we will visit New Delhi was designed and built by the British in the 1920's - it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. In 1911 King George V announced the transfer of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi. The King's architects, Lutyens and Baker, set in motion the design and construction of Delhi's eight city - New Delhi. Lutyens designed an "Imperial City" having palatial-sized buildings set amid broad tree-lined avenues punctuated by Mughal style gardens, complete with fountains and shallow pools. It took 20 years to complete this immense undertaking only to have the British pack up and relinquish the subcontinent in 1947. You will visit Qutub Minar- Qutub Minar also Qutub Minar, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Qutub Minar is constructed with red sandstone and marbel, it is the tallest free-standing stone tower in the world, and the tallest minaret in India, with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8 ft), contains 379 stairs to reach the top, and the diameter of base is 14.3 meters where as the last store is of 2.7 meters. The Construction was commenced by Qutb-ud-din Aibak in 1199 A.D and completed by Iltutmish.

The Qutub Minar is notable for being one of the earliest and most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is surrounded by several other ancient and medieval structures and ruins, collectively known as Qutub complex. Your drive takes you along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate and Parliament House.

Later you will be transfered to Delhi Airport to board flight for onward Journeys.
